Dorset Wildlife Trust
Very few of us are lucky enough to have a stream at the bottom of the garden. For those of you who do, they can offer the chance to watch some wonderful wildlife. Some of our most loved creatures inhabit streams - otters, kingfishers, water voles and dragonflies to name a few.
By slightly changing the management of your stream you can make a really positive contribution to the conservation of these and other fascinating species. Once you have made a few changes, dig out the binoculars for a spot of bird watching, or better still, immerse yourself in mini safari to discover the secret rife of a wildlife friendly stream with a rummage in the reeds!
This leaflet advises on wildlife friendly management of garden streams.
