Bird Mobile

This bird figure is made from a single palm frond, intricately folded back into itself. The art of creating functional or decorative objects from palm fronds is traditional in Bali, and take many forms. This bird is sometimes hung above a new-born infant as a shrine to Kumara, the deity that protects children and furry little birds.
