general underground shapes

Broadly classified, there are 4 of these shapes commonly found:
1. Cup shaped
This occurs most frequently in young plants or single headed plants.

2. V shaped
These are usually older single headed plants.

3. Elongated V shaped
These are usually light starved plants; plants growing in soft soils and in the central portion of multi-headed plants.

4. Antler(curved elongated V) shaped
This is most frequently found on the periphery of multi-headed plants.
