A life list is simply the total number of species recorded in one's lifetime, in this case, within the boundary of Yolo County. Because these numbers are constantly changing, this list will be allowed to constantly change. Many totals on this list were last updated in the March 2004 issue of The Burrowing Owl, the newsletter of Yolo Audubon Society. And many others were updated (or estimated) in January 2009.
