STEVEN ATREIDES

Steven....mercurial, exciting, loyal, a kisser of hands,  handsome, and totally unpredictable.  When he enters the grove you "never" know what might happen !

I had heard of this man long before I ever sat eyes on him myself.  I had heard stories of his business dealings and some of his exploits.  But nothing prepared me for the reality.   He slipped into the grove late one night - I'm not sure what brought him there, really.  He introduced himself as a.. trader I think.  He gave the impression that if it was "wanted" he was the man who could get it.  So we settled on a small commission and sure enough, it wasnt long before he was back... with exactly what I'd asked for!  And more.  One thing I noticed is that he always seemed surprised that he was welcome in the Grove.  But - I never saw a reason for him NOT to be welcomed there.

He fought with us against the Viles and is actually one of the few to ever defeat one.  I found Steven to be fiercely loyal and steadfast actually.  Of course, the stories of his temper I did find to be very true!  *grins*  What they didnt tell is how sweet the apologies would be.  I think he found himself addicted to the Grove's Honeywine and didnt want to lose his source.

Steven... who can ever forget his penchant for that powder that makes him sneeze or the elegant gestures he uses with his magic or the lock of hair that keeps falling into his eyes?

Not me.

Steven Atreides appears as a humanoid male, standing some 5'8", outfitted in supple black leathers with a violet underpiping. His form is more athletic than muscular, the build of an acrobat. Often cowled and cloaked, the occasional glimpse of his face reveals the telltale point to his ears and a dusky undertone to his skin that hints of this halfbreed's darker origins.

As to his beginnings he will say little, save that he was raised on the Streets. His almost unearthly skill at the Pilferer's trade and his magical prowess makes evident he has left volumes unsaid. Often bitter and moody, he seem to offset his darker moments with a sharp tongue and a swaggering bravado that has landed him in trouble as often as his skills have been required to get him out. Steven attacks Life like it was the enemy, exhibiting a reckless abandon that often makes his traveling companions nervous...

Steven is always looking for the BBD - the "Bigger Better Deal". Convinced that the next easy score lies just over the next hill, or in the dank dungeon a few leagues from here, his wanderlust has driven him from place to place, realm to realm, until it has brought him here before you.
