April 2000- ACA convention
What is an ACA convention? Well to many people it is the gathering of a bunch of fish fanatics at a hotel to discuss, rant, and rave in what seems to be a foreign language about colorful fish. To me, however, it is the gathering of everyone who is anyone in the cichlid world to come and talk, look, and trade the fish they enjoy so much. I personally have never had the chance to come to an ACA convention, but had to be satisfied with stories, pictures, and videotapes of it. Let's just put it this way, it is three days of speeches about new fish in the lake, selling and trading of every variety of cichlids you can imagine, new discoveries being displayed, tours of the city, an award banquet, and in a final finale a auction of cichlids to end all auctions. I don't know about most of you out there, but for me this would be like a kid in a candy store. If you have any questions, just feel free to drop me a line.
