My Pets and Animals I Love

~*Dedicated With Love Always to Shadow*~

Shadow was the best cat and one I will never forget. He was a big cat (30 lbs) with an even bigger heart and personality. He could always be seen strutting around with his tail straight in the air. He was quite the lady's man and a lover, not a fighter. In confrontations with other cats he would always walk away rather than fight. Most of his battle wounds occured to his back half as he was walking away!

I remember one time Shadow decided to go up a tree where some crows were nesting. I will never forget the sight of this huge cat running for his life as a group of crows chased him back into our yard!!! He was a comedian and everyone loved him, dogs included. He always knew when I needed him most and would jump in my lap to comfort me. He had a purr that you could hear in the next room, but his meow was a very small kitten voice. It never failed to make me smile as I heard that voice come out of my huge cat. He fancied himself a proud panther. He is in my heart and my mind forever and I know we will be together again one day. It was my priviledge to be Shadow's human. Shadow was my cat and now he is my guardian angel.

Shadow came into our lives quite unexpectedly. My husband and I had stopped at a convenience store to use a pay phone. We saw a van come into the parking lot and without even stopping, this little black cat was thrown out the window. Before I even said the words, my husband was out of the car to grab him. Want to read a beautiful tribute my husband made to Shadow? Go here

This is Peepers, my sweet Birman mix. Peeps has the personality of Forrest Gump and is 4 years old. He is the most clumsy cat I have ever met! He is worth a lot of money...if you are counting all the things he has broken!

Peepers is a very considerate cat. He wakes up early every morning to make us coffee

This is Nicky, our crazy old 16 yr old Doberman/Shepherd mix. Her teeth are pretty ground down now due to her favorite food...rocks. She has always had a sexual identity problem as well. She lifts her leg when she pees and has tried to hump other dogs, male as well as female. She's got lots of character, as you can probably tell by this photo (that's a towel on her head)Nicky traveled over the rainbow bridge at the age of 18

Mollie is a Beagle/Dauschund mix and is the queen bee of the house...at least in her own mind she is anyway. She is around 5 yrs old and is a spoiled brat, but she is so darned cute, everyone puts up with her diva attitude. She thinks she is big and bad and we don't want to burst her bubble

Lucky (nickname Beeper) is named so because she escaped an awful fate...the irresponsible people who let her mother breed were going to kill Lucky and her siblings with a hammer. Lucky was only 4 weeks old when we got her. She is very special because she is the very first pet my husband and I had together and she has been with us from the beginning of our relationship. She is now 10 yrs old. Lucky is extremely nervous all the time and is scared of her own shadow. She has unfortunately since passed to the rainbow bridge on 3-9-03 at age 17

Beenie (9 yrs) is on the left and Miss Kitty (5 yrs) on the right. Beenie is doing her favorite thing..covering up a heat duct. Miss Kitty is the acrobat of the house, amazing us with her feats of agility while Beenie pretty much just sits around and watches everything. She is the most laid-back cat I have ever known and she takes every new cat under her wing..er, I mean paw. She loves to mother. Miss Kitty is pretty high strung and Beenie is basically the only cat she can tolerate being so close to

Scout is the baby of the house at 1 year old. Her mother was a pit bull (staffordshire terrier) and her father full wolf. Scout's personality is much like Tigger's from Winnie the Pooh. She bounces everywhere and on top of everyone without knowing her own strength. She is the happiest dog I have ever known!

Mollie and Scout practice for new careers in the WWF

Here is the old girl Nicky again

This is Stubby (he came to us already named). He is an interesting mix of American Pit Bull Terrier and who knows what else! He is extrememly loyal to me and never leaves my feet. When I go anywhere, I take him with me in the car

Mollie and Scout plotting world domination

The many faces of Scout

Ellie Bear watching Scout eat from the peanut butterjarr

Kodie a big lovable teddy bear rotttweiller
