The Harrison line begins with Nancy "Nannie" Harrison. She was born April 14, 1741 in Brunswick County, Virginia and married John C. Chappell in approximately 1755. She died in 1822 in Twiggs County, Georgia.

Her parents were Joseph Harrison and Elizabeth Simmons. Joseph was born in about 1720. They married in about 1740 and he died in Saint Andrew's Parish in 1763.
