The Holzhockar Group
Born in 1975 the "Holzhockar" (wood-cutters) brings back to life
ancient dances nearly fergotten, on the village squares. The group is now known and
appreciated all over Europe for its orginality and spontaneous style of its folklore.
Ancient trades are reproduced in the dances, the wood-cutter, the miner, the peasant and
the little mountain shepherd.
Together with the 35 dancers who are part of the group there is also the musicians and a
younger group of children already known and appreciated in many TV shows and villages
festivals.
