Flash, Bang, Wallop -- Hello God!

During the night on January 23, 1999, even though it is not known by many people God may of showed himself to Earth. In the furthest reaches of the universe an INCREDIBLY BRIGHT "OBJECT" BURST. It showed itself for 40-50 seconds, but then it suddenly disappeared only leaving behind the "afterglow." The object gave off the most unimaginable amount of light which has ever been seen in history. So what else is so incredible about this object? It first showed more light than the entire universe combined! Second it showed more energy than the entire universe combined! Then last if you combine light and energy you get power so the object showed more power than the entire universe combined. Now how do we know that this light though truly was God showing himself  besides that it showed more light, energy, and power than the universe combined. Well in the Bible it tells us that God is light. Here are just a few scriptures that tell us about it:

"This then is the message which we have heard of Him, and declare unto you that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all."
I John 1:5

"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning."
James 1:17

"About noon as I came near Damascus suddenly a bright light from heaven flashed around me. I fell to the ground and heard a voice say to me, 'Saul! Saul! Why do you persecute me?' 'Who are you, Lord?' I asked. 'I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you are persecuting,' he replied. My companions saw the light, but they did not understand the voice of Him who was speaking to me. My companions led me by the hand into Damascus, because the brilliance of the light had blinded me."
Acts 22:6-9, 11

Now if this bust of light is God then exactly what is so significant about it? Well if you look at Luke 21:25 it says during the end times there will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars. So this could very well be a sign from God that He is coming soon. This isn't it though. There is much more. The burst of light occured in the constellation of Bootes. Bootes is what the Greeks named the the constellation and it is from the Hebrew root BO (to come) so Bootes  means "The Coming!" Bootes is pictured as a man walking rapidly with a spear in his right hand and a sickle in his left hand. Let's now look also at some of the names of the stars in the constellation and what they mean. There is first the brightest star in the left knee which is called Acturus which could also be the constellation's ancient name. Acturus means "He Cometh." Next is the star in the spearhead called Al Katurops which means "the Branch Treading Underfoot." The next star is just below the waist on his right side and is called either Mirac, Mizar, or Izar. Mirac means "Coming Forth As An Arrow." Mizar or Izar means "the preserver guarding." The star in his left leg is called Muphride meaning "who seperated." Then there is the star in his head calles Nekkar which means "the pierced." In Zechariah 12:10 it tells us that Jesus is pierced by a spear. So now we know the stars and what they mean. So let's take a look at some more scriptures that tell us what this all means. As you remember from earlier the constellation Bootes has a spear in his right hand and a sickle in his left hand. So what's the importance of the sickle? If you look at Revelation 14:14-16 it says:

I looked, and there before me was a white cloud, and seated on the cloud was one "like a Son of Man" with a crown of gold on his  head and a sharp sickle in his hand. Then another angel came out of the Temple and called in a loud voice to him who was sitting on the cloud, "Take your sickle and reap, because the time to reap has come, for the harvest of the Earth is ripe." So He that was seated on the cloud swung his sickle over the Earth, and the Earth was harvested.
Revelation 14:14-16

So this scripture means that Jesus will take us from Earth in a way like using a sickle, and when the harvest is ripe he'll take us away. This shows the sickle in Bootes is related to Jesus' Coming in that scripture. So if you take an overall look of the constellation it shows a sign of Jesus' Second Coming. Now let's take a look at the last part of the constellation which is the spear. In Habakuk 3:11 it says:

Sun and Moon stood in their places; They went away at the light of Thy gleaming spear.
Habakkuk 3:11

So this shows God having a spear. What the surprising part is where the burst of light occured. It occured right at the very tip of the spear in the hand of Bootes. This isn't an exaggeration. So now we can conclude that this is truly a sign from God. The explosion that showed more light, energy, and power than the whole universe combined was most likely God showing himself to us and giving us a sign in the Constellation Bootes which has much meaning related to the Second Coming of Christ. So overall God showed a sign on January 23, 1999 that he was coming back. What are some of the significances of this date? Well counting back 40 days it was the beginning of Hanukkah on December 14, 1998. It also remarkably marked the 49th anniversary of the Israeli Government's proclamation on the city of Jerusalem back on January 23, 1950. According to the Bible the Jubilee year begins after 49 years, on the first day of the 50th year. So as you can see the burst also marks important dates. Now we can see the burst of light was most likely a sign from God to show that He is coming.
