Eighteen county commissioners from Ga. 7th district visited the Anniston Army Depot to tour the chemical activity area to learn more about the plans for the incinerator. The 7th district of Ga. is downwind from the proposed incinerator in Anniston. This poses a direct threat to the people of Georgia and its thriving agricultural economy. SAFE has been trying to inform the public of the dangers posed by low-level nerve agent emissions, like those encountered by the Gulf War Veterans, which will be emitted from the Anniston facility.
