I have tried to give pattern sources as completely as I can with each project so that if you want to, you can find the pattern to make it yourself. Please do not write asking for patterns. I regret that I cannot fill those requests.

This is the "Celestial Doily" from Crochet Fantasy Magazine, issue #128, January 1999. this doily was only supposed to be one solid color, but I experimented with 3 colors. I used a combination of DMC Cebelia and DMC Traditions thread. I made this for a friend.

The pattern for this filet name doily is from Crochet with Heart Magazine, October 1998. The pattern called for #10 thread, but I used #20 ecru Cebelia instead. After blocking, I sewed the doily to a piece of navy velveteen and put it in a brushed gold frame. This one went to my grandparents, but I have made others & have requests for more. :)

This "Spiderweb Doily" is from the House of White Birch's "One Day Doilies" leaflet. This took me a lot longer than one day! :) I made it in #818 pink DMC Brilliant thread for my mother in law. Picture's a bit dark, unfortunately. It's a large doily.

The "White Camellia" doily is from Decorative Crochet #65, September 1998. As you can see, mine is not white! I made this is DMC Cebelia blue #800, It was given to a friend, and it really was round, even if it doesn't look it in the picture. :)

This doily pattern came from Magic Crochet #115, August 1998. It's called "Early Morning," but in our house it will always be known as the "France Doily," since it is the one I made while in airports and planes while on our trip to France. The designer intended this to be made with #30 thread, but I used #10 purple variegated Optima thread. It's finished size in #10 is about 15 inches. My full doily photo did not turn out, but I will keep trying.

Click on the image for a larger view This doily was made for a friend with some vintage Star thread. The pattern is called "Ecru Doily," and it was designed by Nancy Hearne. Obviously, only a portion of my doily is ecru. :) This pattern can be found on Nancy's website. This pattern has become a favorite of mine. I also have a picture of the same pattern stitched up using pastel variegated Clea thread. I haven't found Clea in the States yet. A friend in Canada picked this up for me. I'd love to have more of it!

"Recipe for Repose" is from Decorative Crochet Magazine #72/November 1999. I made this for a friend using 2 shades of vintage Knit Cro-Sheen thread. (Vintage KCS is very different from modern KCS, and I love it!) The pattern is only made in one color, but I changed to variegated green for the last 5 or 6 rounds, and I really like the result. I would love to get more of this green color. It is such a pretty, soft color and different from the greens I have seen out today.

This doily is called "Snow Doily" and the pattern can be found at Priscilla's Crochet. This is one talented designer and a great website! I used some older blue thread. This was among my vintage stuff and it had no label. I made it with no intended recipient in mind - I just wanted to make this pattern - and I almost gave it away once. I ended up keeping it and it's in my living room. :) What a nice pattern.

Click on the image for a larger view "Praline Pinwheel" is from American School of Needlework's "The Ultimate Doily Book," 1994, ASN #1185 and ISBN #0-88195-597-3. I used DMC Traditions thread in ecru. This doily was supposed to have a finished size of 18 inches, but I used a bigger hook, and I believe Traditions thread is just a bit thicker than some, too, so my doily is about 20 inches. This is good news because I was making it to fit an end table whose top was getting ruined by people who didn't seem to want to use a coaster. I get a little tired of playing Coaster Police at my dinner parties. :(

"Rectangular Table Runner" is from an older issue of Magic Crochet magazine that I found at a garage sale. I made this runner using #30 Opera thread in ecru. You can find this pattern in Magic Crochet issue #24 (1983). I suggest trying eBay! This runner is 14" x 38".
