Herbicides in Maine Forestry

A compilation of facts from the Maine Board of Pesticide Control, and Maine Audubon Society

These figures are taken from two sources. This fact makes the job of deciding which results are accurate, very difficult. The figures received from the Board of Pesticide Control were compiled using spray reports submitted yearly to the Board by licensed applicators. These reports are also the basis for the figures compiled by myself.

The information contained in the table below, and available Excel spreadsheet, deals with acreage of herbicide spraying. It does not show the concentration of dosages or mixes of chemicals. Trade names are used.
