Greenland Point Center continued its conservation education and outdoor recreation programs during the winters of 1998 and 2001. GPC's Winter Conservation Camp educated youth on the wise and safe use of Maine's natural resources during the winter months. Campers learned and experienced Maine's premiere winter activities; cross country skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and ice fishing while earning their Maine Snowmobile Safety Certification. The main emphasis was on the safe participation and the conservation of the fragile winter ecosystem.
