Outdoor School

Greenland Point Center's Original Program

In 1984, Fran Robinson began developing what was to become Outdoor School. Based on an Environmental Education curriculum, and tailored to fit the Greenland Point surroundings, Outdoor School has served a two fold purpose. The first being education, and the second recreation. With a good mix of the two, students of all ages, from the Downeast community, have enjoyed their experiences here, and many have come back to work. Trips of 1-3 days are common to Outdoor School programs. Both teachers and students participate in the activites. Parents often join in the fun as school chaperones. For more information contact:
