Greenland Point Center staff would like to express our deepest sympathy in the loss of our close friend and fellow instructor Fran Montville. Fran died unexpectedly on March 3, 1999 as the result of an automobile accident in Lucerne. Fran was an active member of the Penobscot Fly Fishers and volunteered his time to teach young people the joys of fishing. Since the summer of 1995, Fran has made regular trips to Greenland Point Center to share his knowledge and skills in fly fishing and Maine's natural resources. Fran's commitment to the education of children was a model for others and he will be sadly missed.
