My current job

I am a lecturer in Environmental Biology at Bath Spa University College, U.K. I joined the Department of Environmental Biology in September, 2003 and lecture on a wide range of ecological topics including - animal behaviur, ecology, genetics, agriculture and physiology.

Education

I carried out my BSc and PhD at the University of Wales, College Cardiff. My first degree was in Zoology and my PhD thesis was on the foraging behaviour of blue tits.

Employment

Previous research jobs have included

Research

At the moment I am concentrating on small mammal research and the effect of human management. In particular I am interested in arable farming and how it affects small mammal distribution and abundance. I am also looking at the effect of woodland management (such as coppicing) on small mammal populations.

I am always happy to discuss collaborative projects with researchers anywhere in the world. If you think this might be appropriate for you then please email me.
