Each year the Middle Harbour Catchment Management Committtee make $30 000 available to fund small scale environmental projects by community groups in the catchment. Grants of upto $5000 are available to each project, and must be matched by an equal amount of contribution funds or in kind labour. When selecting projects to fund, the committee looks for criteria such as: wide spread community support, natural regenration where possible, a focus on long term sustainability of the environment, and projects that address the cause rather than the symptom of the problem and heighten a community awareness.
If you are interested in getting your community involved with small
project grants, contact the coordinator of the Middle Harbour Catchment Management Committee
