Middle
Harbour is an urban miracle -a quarter of its catchment area is natural
bushland, surviving the last 200 years in the midst of Australia's biggest
city.
The bushland and waterways of Middle Harbour are protected
from bulldozers and major development. But regular, small "insults" slowly
add up to serious degradation which may become permanent without your help.
Litter, weed infestation, illegal dumping, and pollution or nutrient enriched
run-off, are slowly spoiling the bushland, creeks and Harbour. The problem
is that about 200,000 people share the Middle Harbour catchment and many
of their everyday activities are damaging its environment.
Can people live harmoniously with Middle Harbour
and its bush. The answer is 'YES'. Click here to find
out how.
