My picture is inspired by a night hike my dorm took a few days ago. The picture is set in the evening because that is when I do my best thinking and the lack of detail in the background suggests the silence in which my ideas are best fostered. This natural window frame created by the form of the tree trunk represents my mind and each of the individual windows represents an idea or thought. The reason I placed several windows into this frame is because whenever I am thinking deeply, I usually start off with several ideas running through my head simultaneously. I go from window to window, carefully analyzing each image. Some of the images are very vague and undeveloped and others are too unclear to see. Among the more detailed ideas are a range from very simple to extremely complex. After glancing into every individual window, I choose the best among them and shine more light into through that window pane to better understand the concept. When the idea is fully matured, I photograph the chosen scene onto my essay paper and black out all the other windows.
