The Meaning of the Sabah State Crest

The two arms carrying the Sabah State Flag represents unity and harmony among its multiracial citizens towards progress and success.

A silhoutte of Mount Kinabalu represents Sabah State.

The five different colour represents the five residencies of the Sabah State.

The state motto "Sabah Maju Jaya", means "Let Sabah Prosper".

• The colour zircon blue represents peace and calmness.
• The colour white represents purity and justice.
• The colour chilli red represents courage and determination.
• The colour icicle blue represents unity and prosperity.
• The colour royal blue represents strength and harmony.
