ASSIGNMENT NO.8

Assignment #8 is to go into some of the search engines on the web to search for topics dealing with Wildlife Management (Chapter 11) and Aquatic Resources Management (Chapter 12).
Choose seven (7) web sites that deal with these chapters. You can go to specific wildlife (white- tailed deer, wild turkey, whooping crane, wolves, beavers, fur bearing animals, grizzley bears, mouuntain lions, bigh horn sheep, bobwhite quail, doves, or any bird, mammal, game/non game species etc.
Should be hundreds of choices): aquatic species (trout, carp, largemouth bass, or whatever; legistation (Migratory Bird Conservation Act, Pittman-Robertson Act, Endangered Species Act, Rivers and Harbors Act, Tennessee Valley Authority or dozens of other acts in the chapters: topics (pond management, wildlife management, lake management, waterfowl management, channelization, stream sedimentation, State Game Laws, various state wildlife management agencies, rivers, lakes, exotic species, cattle feedlots, etc.); state and federal wildlife and fisheries management programs (Georgia, Colorado, Florida, etc.);
specific places (Great Lakes, Mississippi River, National Forests, National Park Service, etc that deals with wildlife and aquatic resources management); general (hunting, fishing, trapping activities, extinct species {passenger pigeon, Carolina parakeet} history of conservation of wildlife species, or anything related to the two chapters.

You can choose all seven (7) sites from one topic, or jump around to ten different topics. Do whatever interests you and what would benefit you.
Do the following with the seven (7) sites you chose:
(1) Title of site and http address
(2) Summarize site/abstract
(3) Relate site to concepts associated with the two chapters or principles we've discussed throughout the quarter.
(4) Rate the site using this criteria: With what degree of enthusiasm would you recommend the site to others for educational purposes? Use the scale 1-5 with 1 being the highest rating. 1=oustanding, a must see!; 2=very good, well above average; 3=helpful, functional; 4=would seldom use, nothing special; 5=wouldn't recommend under any circumstance.
As always, give opinion of all this Internet stuff, problems you had, or whatever. It's good for the instructor to know this kind of stuff. What do you think about the Internet as an educational tool., etc.?
