Recyle!
Simply segregate your trash into paper and plastics and give those old bottles and newspapers in the garage to the recycling plant. You earn money and be earth-friendly at the same time
Plant a tree, Plant a dream
Our world is becoming more and more barren because of the hundreds of trees that people cut down each time. You need not chain yourself to a giant redwood to show that you care; you can write your local congressman about putting more greens around the town and preserving parks and places in their natural state.
Think of the Animals
Don't buy real animal fur, or ivory or other "fashionable" things that come from animals, especially those that are highly endangered. You can become chic without wearing a dead animal's skin over your body. Besides, fake prints are in nowadays.
Things You Can Do
Announce your volunteer positions here. You'll want to let your readers know the responsibilities and requirements of the position and the position's hours.
Use both sides of papers from school or work. You can also use them for wrapping other things and as scratch papers
Choose products that have the least amount of wrapping; avoid plastics as much as possible. When you're doing the wrapping, find stuff around the house that you can use, like old magazine covers...be creative!
If you're going to print out a draft of something long, like an article or a list, set the size font to something small but still readable (like 9 or 10) and set the page margin to 0.5 all around so that you print on more of the paper. And use scratch paper if the document is not that important
Carpool whenever you can, or put those legs to work if the its a short distance...that way, you get exercise, too
Buy your things in big boxes, cans or bottles whenever you can
There are many other things that you can do to care for the environment. The main thing is knowing that what you're doing is for the good of everyone (not only for the present generation, but for the generations to come, too) and that it will make a difference in the long run.
