This is an airsoft spring version of the Beretta 92F. Actually, in the same manner as Marui, UHC used U.S. Military markings to avoid the need for Beretta trademarks, thus making this a M9, the issue pistol for the U.S. Armed Forces.
Appearance Hands down one of the nicest looking spring powered guns I've seen. The U.S. Military markings look sharp. It has a genuine open slide like the real steel version, and is decent weight wise. The hammer, while merely asthetic, will work when you pull the trigger without racking the slide, making it fun just to play with. It has a full size magazine, field strips, and basically pays great attention to detail, at least on a superficial level.
Performance It used to fire pretty hard and accurately. Now it doesn't fire at all. You can cock it fine, but when you try and pull the trigger, it just won't fire. It works every now and then, but not reliably enough to use in skirmishes. My neighbor's still works fine, so mine may have been a fluke, but I here this is a common problem. A pity, as I think the Beretta is the most handsome handgun on the market, airsoft and real steel.
Negative It doesn't fire anymore. That's pretty much the bottom of the barrel.
Price I got mine for $19.99 and Tapco. A good deal. As I said, my neighbor has a working one, so for the price it may be worth the risk, but you may want to go with another gun unless you have your heart set on the M9. |
