Tokyo Marui M92F Military Electric Blowback (EBB)

I've been waiting for these fellas to come out for a long time. And while there has been a lot of citicism to them flying around, I have to say: I love mine.

Appearance:
I looks like a springer, through and through. There aren;t any metal parts on the outside of the airsoft, and, no, none of the parts are working. The safety, mag release, hammer,  disassembly lever, and slide lock are all molded into the frame. The safety is replaced by a small grip safety under the trigger guard which must be depressed when firing (ala Mini). While it doesn't have any Beretta trademarks, due to WA liscensing agreement, it does have US Military markings on it, which are, in my opinion, cooler looking than actual Beretta trademarks. The tip is painted red, but is done tastefully. The slide pulls back, but there is no open ejection port, and the slide only comes back about half that of an actual M9. The weight is pretty light, and the clip is this strange, banana shaped, clear strip of plastic which can just be pulled out. The batteries go in the grip. Sound bad? It really isn't. This gun isn't WA Beretta 92FS PV quality, but it looks like a Beretta, the slide has a nice finish, and it is a fun, inexspensive gun.

Performance:
This is where the EBB seems to fall short in most reviews I've read. It is true: The BBs get terribly inaccurate outside of 20 feet or so. But that is to be expected for such a low priced gun. I personally am gonna use mine as a last ditch backup which means it probably won't have to fir too far. The slide doesn't cycle as fast as you pull the trigger, but it has an okay rate of fire. Quicker than cocking a springer each time. I use .12 g BBs and these seem to ork fine within a certain range.

Negative Points:
I think I've pretty much said them all. If you are expecting a GBB, you will be very disappointed. It doesn't fire quickly, and lacks in realism. It is made like a springer or a mini. The clip is obnoxious, but that's okay as long as you aren't on a realism quest. Don't set your expectations to high, and you'll like it fine I think.

Price:
I got mine for $45 plus $5 S&H from Valkyrie Air. They seem to be the only dealer selling them out there in the US (Besides Miltech, which is trying to rip you off). Redwolf sells them, but they cost $47 last time I checked, plus foreign shipping fees. I say go get one. They are great fun, low maitenance, and you can shoot semi-auto without worrying about gas. If you dislike Berettas, wait awhile, and some new models including the USP are due for release. This new technology from Marui gets two thumbs up from me when you compare the fun and quality to the price.
