This ride has it all, wide open fire road cruising and technical root-laden singletrack. However, all those roots come from a lot of trees, which makes for quite a few shady bits. Wee Jud gets scared by all this so we have to ride fast or the trolls under the fallen logs will get him. That's what we tell him, anyway. Whatever it takes to get his got-no-bike-handling-skills self over those roots.
