Lumbering through the Pacific Northwest is one of the few animals we have yet to find and take scientific note of. Reports have been recorded from ALL over the country and even into Mexico and Canada. Sometimes it's hard to believe but we must find out, is Bigfoot/Sasquatch fact or fiction?

For countless decades, science has managed to capture some of life's greatest single species just by looking in one's backyard. In the past century, the tables recently turned. Sending mobile scientists and cryptozoologists scrambling all across the continent is one, solitary race of animal that is the one of the only large animals ever to slip through the fingers of scientific records. Standing at 6 1/2 to 8 feet in heighth, the Bigfoot may seem like a tall tale, but is anything except that. Early in the century, reports of giant footprints were given by vast amounts of regular civilians, not expecting to find anything like what they had found. Sand casts were soon made, and cryptozoology had its biggest story in years. Soon, reports were coming in from all over the nation and spreading into even Canada and Mexico. It seemed like the theories couldn't get any more publicity until the Gimlin/Patterson tapes were released to the public. Seen below is frame number 352 in a series of 2 feet of film. As you can clearly see, it is a female bigfoot which is noted by the breasts. Female bigfeet have also been reputed to be much smaller than the male counterparts.

Through the oncoming years, Bigfoot was to gain an unshakeable reputation. It was said that a Bigfoot would eat family pets, wander through yards at night, or even break into houses following a scent of food it had caught. Trackers and hunters flooded into the mountains with rifles and traps, hopping to be the first one to snag a "Foot". Just as most had predicted, all of the hunters came back empty-handed. Numerous reports of "road-wanderings" and "camp-site raidings" have been told to Pacific Northwest police for years. There is even one account, told by a young man who says he was hiking throught the woods while he encountered one of the huge beasts. He immediately fainted from shock. He says that he woke up the next day inside of the Bigfoot den. As he awoke, the mother and baby Bigfeet froze and stared as the young man simply walked out of the cave without any hesitation whatsoever. Seen below is another frame from the fabled Gimlin/Patterson film. This is frame number 72. As you can see, the Bigfoot is wandering back into it's forest setting. Note the extreme amount of hair on it's buttocks area. Scientists say that feces may become stuck in the hair, which brings about the horrid stench whenever a Bigfoot sighting takes place.

In fact, Bigfoot is known all around the entire globe by many different names. In the United States, the beast is known as Bigfoot because of its large feet that were first sand-casted back in the early half of the century. In Canada, Bigfoot is known to most as Sasquatch for unknown reasons. In Nepal, it is known as the Yeti and in China it is known as the Chinese Wildman. Could all of these similar hominids be the same type of creature Bigfoot is, or could they all be totally different hominids, each having already adapted to their environment fully. Science will someday figure this mystery out althought the end is currently no where in sight. Reports will still pour in and people will still claim to have caught one simple glance at the magnificent and cunningly elusive creature that is.....Bigfoot.
