Our Boat - Snow Goose I
ur boat is the Snow Goose I. She is a wood/epoxy Northumberland Strait style fishing vessel. She is an able sea boat, 45 feet length overall and has a 15 foot beam. We carry a false deck and we have insulated slush tanks below.
e regularly make 30 plus hour runs as we travel from one tuna hotspot to the other and the Snow Goose has always proved herself up to the task no matter what Old Neptune has thrown at us. From our homeport on the Gaspe peninsula to the Hellhole, 100 nautical miles South of Nova Scotia, is a voyage of over 600nm.
he Snow Goose is powered by a 135hp Ford diesel and she runs at 10 knots. We replaced and enlarged our wheelhouse last year so we could accommodate charters more comfortably.
