So you want to get better do you? Then you're at the right place. For the only way to really get good is to work and work hard (that's what they told you in school isn't it). Training is the key. But you must be willing to suffer (I hope you love to suffer) and suffer some more. But don't let that scare you, because as I learned suffering can be fun though. So what are your plans this summer? Just starting? Fit and strong, but don't know where to begin? I hope this page will help you (I know it will).


The Tip from the Heart


Don't exceed you 90% of your max heart rate for very long. It puts a lot of stress on your heart.

Just Starting Out

For those just starting out, you really don't need a training program yet. Basically all you need to do is get out and ride (what are you doing reading this). Start the first week with rides about 20 to 30 minutes. Don't over do it though, you'll be sore and hurting. Ride at least 3 times a week and keep that heart going. At this level you don't need to worry about your heart rate just get out and ride. Any activity will help you.
