I'm
originally from the South Side of Chicago,
IL. Currently,
I'm majoring in Civil Engineering and minoring in Architecture at Washington
University in St. Louis.
I'll graduate in December of 2000 (just around the corner). I plan to get
atleast my Masters degree in civil engineering once I'm done. Also I'll
get my P.E. (professional engineers license) in the near future.
I'm pretty quiet and a little shy (but you can't tell anyone that really knows me well. They'll try to deny it). I worked for the St. Louis District Army Corps of Engineers for about 2 1/2 years and I loved it there. I was a co-op in the Civil Engineering Section starting in January 1998. My LAST DAY was in May 2000. I began working in the Structural Control and Earthquake Engineering Laboratory on campus in the Fall of 1998 (?). I love working here because in addition to doing research, I've worked on web pages and participated in outreach programs. I enjoy this because we get to share with others about the work that's going on in the lab. Last summer, I participated the Research Experiences for Undergraduates Program with the Washington University Department of Civil Engineering. My research was about bearings used in bridges. I also created and maintained the web site for the program, which was a great experience. |
