Background Information

I'm the son of Dan & Jaquetta Walterscheid and the younger brother of Aaron.

This is my homepage and I hope you will like it. It will tell you all about myself, my family, and what I like to do & some of my favorite things. I have learned a lot on how to use computers and the fun you can have with them. I know that this computer fun will also be very useful in my future. My mom likes computers some too! Check out her web page for making prickly pear jelly, Jaquetta's Jellies.

Current Projects

Although I'm always busy especially in the summer having fun, playing & camping & in school in the Fall and Winter months, I am active in Cub Scouts, and am a Bear currently in Cub Scouts, all part of BSA. I have lots of fun there. We play games, learn lots of neat things, tying knots, how to fly the flag, build things, camping & repelling. We also have pinewood derby races! It is a lot of fun too; my Dad helped me carve & paint my own car two years in a row now! They are all really cool looking cars.

Like Cub Scouts, I have lots of fun in RA's (Royal Ambassadors for Christ) too. It is a fun boys program at the Baptist church I go to. We learn lots of neat stuff about Jesus, what it means to be a Christian, and knowing right from wrong, and reaching our friends who are lost and don't know who Jesus is. We learn how to tell our friends about Jesus so they can go to heaven too! Here's a neat site that tells you about Jesus & how to become a Christian when God decides to call you, and you accept Him into your heart.

Biographical Information

I have lived in Farwell, Texas a small ranching & farming community located in the southern Texas Pandhandle (the South Plains), all my life (8 years) and share residence with my brother Aaron, who is 12 years old. I was born in the Fall (Autumn) on Oct 11th, 1993, at an early 3:00 am! I started talking to Aaron quite early even though he could not understand me. As I grew older my fascination like my older brother was electronic gadgets & especially video games, computers. So I guess we both take after our Dad who is always playing with his electronic gadgets, too!

It gets really cold in the winter here & can snow a lot sometimes, and it gets very windy here too. But in the summer it is nice with only some hot days, but mostly perfect weather to play in, except when we get rain & lightning.(Thunderstorms)

My Dad likes to chase storms since he is a storm spotter with Skywarn. We have seen tornadoes, large hail as big as grapefruit & lots of lightning & wind, too! He is very scared of lightning, especially since he almost has been struck 3 different times while digging up cactus out on some of the country roads around here!

I am the younger one of my older brother, Aaron. I was born at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis, NM and Mom named me Corby. A name she wanted to be original & different than all the other common names. Naming kids I guess is really hard, especially when there are so many names to choose from! Some kids at school & other friends still get my name name mixed up!

Personal Interests

When I am finally asked by my parents to leave the gadgets alone for a while I like to play on our trampoline, play with our two dogs, Sandy & Chica, and ride my bike, and swim when the weather gets really hot!

Everybody especially my Dad, says that I am very vocal and loud sometimes. He says this a lot when comparing me to my older brother Aaron who speaks softer then me! Since I have a loud voice, I think I can carry a great tune, love to sing in church and play the piano. Maybe Mom can give me piano lessons someday!

As far as my favorite things to eat, it's definitely pizza! I love ice cream, too! I am a very selective eater & very choosey about most foods Mom makes for me!

I like to go on bike rides with Mom & Dad and Aaron & on walks just sometimes, but they are kinda boring unless we are walking over to the park where I get to play a lot.

I also like cub scouts, currently in Bears. My older brother is also in Boy Scouts, and is working toward his Eagle Scout. It's lots of fun, especially the camping, repelling, and the fun & games we do, and getting to camp out together as a family in our huge tent in the mountains.

I love playing ping pong with my Dad. I like soccer a lot and want to play on a soccer team someday! My favorite is Digimon which comes on Fox Kids on Sat mornings. I also like watching Clifford, the Big Red Dog on PBS.

In the last 5 years I have visited 20 states during vacations; they are Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Louisiana. My favorite of all the states I have visited so far has been West Virginia where my Aunt Gari Lynn lives & it is very beautiful there, and we got to go snow sledding down a big hill in her back yard in the winter time! It was a lot of fun!

When I am not playing on the computer or video games, I do like playing outdoors, playing in the tree house my Dad built for me, camping, fishing, hiking, mountain climbing and going for walks sometimes.

I have not really figured out for sure what I want to do when I grow up yet, but I am thinking about being a video game designer! I think Aaron, my brother will probably want to be a graphic design artist or architect since he likes to draw all the time!
