CLAIR F. CONLEY

WASHBURN - Clair F; Conley, 65, died Tuesday at a Bangor Hospital after a brief illness.

He was born at Washburn, July 28, 1901, son of James and Mary (Carmichael) Conley.

Mr. Conley was a retired farmer; having farmed for 22 years on the Caribou Road in Washburn.

He is survived by his widow, Laney (Miller) Conley; three step-sons, John Waugh of Orrington, and Clinton Waugh of Presque Isle, and Mrs. Gerald Kelley of Hermon two brothers, Eldridge and Arthur, both of Washburn; three sisters, Mrs. Blanche Price of Washburn, Mrs. Ethel Patten of Caribou, and Mrs. Ada Culberson of Washburn; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends: may call at the residence of Winfield Donovan of Hines Street; Washburn, Wednesday until time of the funeral.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Washburn Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Philip C. Huey Jr., pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church of Brewer, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Kenneth MacDonald, pastor of the Washburn Pentecostal Church.

Burial will be in Riverside Extension Cemetery in Washburn. 1
