CARIBOU -- Valiant Delmer Wilcox, 16, died of accidental drowning at Stetson Wednesday.
He was born June 5, 1947, at Washburn, the son of Delmer and Shirley (Pike) Wilcox. He was educated in Caribou schools and attended the Pentecostal Church.
He is survived by his parents; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Mary Wilcox of Caribou: his maternal grandfather, William Pike of Fort Fairfield; brother, Merritt of Caribou; several uncles, aunts and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Robert Steward, a former pastor, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Lloyd Sparks, pastor of the Washburn Pentecostal Church.
Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home Friday and Saturday from 3 to 5 and from 7 to 9 p.m.
Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery at Perham.
