ELMER E. McDONALD

WASHBURN -- Elmer E. McDonald, 84, a lifelong resident of Washburn, died in a Houlton nursing home Wednesday after a long illness.

Mr. McDonald was born here February 7, 1878, son of John and Sarah (Porter) McDonald, and was a retired farmer.

Surviving are two sons, Clair of Framingham, Mass., and Cecil of Washburn: a daughter, Mrs. Jeanne Strange of Anchorage, Alaska: 13 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Friends may call in Presque Isle at the Graves Funeral Home Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home Friday at 2 p.m., the Rev. Howard Krueger, pastor, First Baptist Church of Washburn, officiating.

Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Washburn.
