GERALD L. STODDARD

WASHBURN--Gerald L. Stoddard, 39, formerly of Washburn, died suddenly at Binghamton, N. Y. hospital Wednesday.

He was born at Washburn August 2, 1922 son of Elmer and Hittie (Bodge) Stoddard. He had been a resident of Port Crane, N. Y, for 16 years.

He had been employed by the Atlantic Refining Company there.

Mr. Stoddard served overseas in Italy with the 45th Infantry Division in World War II.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Barbara (Ganough) Stoddard; a son, Michael; two daughters; Verlene and Marcia, all of Port Clyde, N. Y.; four sisters, Lucy Day and Mrs. Alberta McNeal, both of Washburn; Mrs. Cora Currier, Mapleton and Mrs. Frances Kidney of North Kingston, R. I.

Friends may call at Graves Funeral Home in Presque Isle Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of the funeral home

Monday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Medley Wry, pastor of the Conservative Church, Washburn, officiating.

Military committal services will be conducted at the funeral home by the Oscar Dow American Legion Post of Washburn.

Spring burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
