JAMES L. HERSEY

WASHBURN -- James Leroy Hersey, 90, died at a Caribou hospital Saturday after a long illness.

He was born at Presque Isle, February 9, 1871, son of Earl and Amanda (Lamson) Hersey.

Mr. Hersey was a member of the Washburn Pentecostal Church and the oldest citizen here.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Bessie Hersey, Washburn, a brother, Wesley, Monticello: two half-brothers, Leslie and Dewey, Somerville, Mass.

Friends may call at the Morgan Funeral Home Monday 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p. m.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. The Rev. Bernard Patten, pastor of the Presque Isle Pentecostal Church will officiate.

Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Fort Fairfield.
