MRS. ALICE R. BRAYSON

MARS HILL, July 27 [1956] -- Mrs. Alice Brown Brayson, 48, of Mars Hill, died in a Caribou hospital Thursday after a long illness.

She was born in Washburn, March 31, 1908, the daughter of Elmer and Alma (Ireland) McDonald. She was educated in the public schools of Washburn and had been a resident of Mars Hill for the past nine years.

Mrs. Brayson was a member of the Baptist Church at Mars Hill.

Surviving are her husband C. Philip Brayson, Mars Hill; one son Robert E. Brown, Presque Isle; two daughters, Mrs. Camella Robinson, Caribou and Staff Sergeant Patricia A. Brown of the U. S. Marine Corp, stationed at Camp Le Jeune, North Carolina; two brothers, Clair McDonnld, Framingham, Mass., and Cecil of Washburn; two sisters, Mrs. Jeanne Strang and Mrs. Thelma Piers of Washburn; seven grandchildren.

The remans are at the Mockler Funeral Home where friends may call Saturday forenoon.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of the funeral home Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. J. Wesley Stuart, pastor of the Washburn Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in the Riverside cemetery in Washburn.

Bearers will be Max Brayon, Luther McLaughlin, Fred Morrow and Frank Brayson.
