MRS. MAHITABLE S. STODDARD

WASHBURN, April 18 [1949] -- Mrs. Mahitable S. Stoddard, 68, died at her home here Sunday evening. She was born in Dexter, daughter of Charles and Belle (Sawtelle) Bodge, and had lived in Washburn the greater part of her life.

She is survived by four sons; Frank F. of Presque Isle, Elmer D. Of Washburn, Ransford P. Of Portland, and Verald L. Of Port Crane, N. Y.; four daughters, Mrs. Lucy Day, Mrs. Frances Kidney, Mrs. Alberta McNeal, all of Washburn, and Mrs. Cora Currier of Presque Isle; one brother, Perley M. Bodge of Garland; a half-brother, Lt. Basil Bodge of the United States Army in Tennessee; two half-sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Simmons of Guilford, and Mrs. Gertrude Allen of Dover-Foxcroft; 15 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Washburn Baptist church Wednesday afternoon at two p.m. Rev. Philip C Hughey, Jr., will officiate. Burial will ge in Riverside cemetery.
