Military Rites Today For James C. Langley
WASHBURN, June 3 [1948] -- Funeral services for Private James C. Langley who was killed in
action in North Africa on August 8, 1943, will be held on Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the
Washburn Pentecostal church. Rev. Renhard Sand officiating. Full military committal services will
be conducted at Crouseville cemetery by members of the Washburn American Legion.
Private Langley is survived by his mother, Mrs. Ruth Cray of Worcester, Mass., two brothers,
Levi Langley of Washburn and Freeland Langley of Worcester, Mass., four half brothers, Mark,
Carroll, and Frederick Cray of Worcester, Mass., and Lewis Cray who is stationed in Texas with
the United States Army and a step-brother Stanley Cray of Worcester, Mass.
