Tufted Titmouse is a very common feeder visitor. It gets to be the size of 5 1/2 inches, and lives in the eastern half of North America. In the picture, the Tufted Titmouse is eating sunflower seeds right out of the sunflower head that Melissa grew for the purposes of feeding the wild birds.

The Black-Capped Chickadee resides in the nothern two thirds of North America. It gets to be the size of 4 1/2 inches, and loves to eat peanuts, peanut butter and sunflower seeds.

There are several types of Finches, Rosy Finch, House Finch, Purple Finch, Cassin's Finch, American Goldfinch. They all differ from size. Some are as small as 3 3/4 inches and some are as big as 6 inches. They all tend to like the same type of feeds: Sunflowers, and thistle as well as a couple other types of feed. They can be found all over North America.
