Bluebird Nesting Journal

June 1, 1999 - I put up a brand new birdhouse in the back yard. I positioned it with the bird hole facing south, well as much south as I could get it. I also tried to put in up in a place that was open, but yet not to far away so I couldn't see it.

June 11, 1999 - I checked my birdhouse today. Nothing yet. I haven't even seen a Blue Bird yet. But I hope to soon. I have seen many other birds snooping around the house. It may not be the right area for them. I do not know. Ithas only been a little over a week. I guess I will have to be patient.

June 25, 1999 - I checked my bird house again today, but still no nests. I think maybe they dont like the location of the bird box. I will give it more time. This really is not the season for the Bluebirds to nest or take over a bird box. Spring is the best time. So I may just hae to wait till then. I did find a new Robins nest today with 3 babies in it.
