Legal's Seafood
I rarely go home without a stop to one of the many Legal's Seafood Restaurants. They have several locations in the Copley area of downtown Boston, including the Copley Mall and the Copley Hotel. There are other locations, but the ones in the Copley area tend to be the better of the various locations. "If it's not fresh, it's not Legal."
Gourmeli's
Every year, Boston Magazine has a best (and worst) of Boston issue. Gourmeli's in the Copley Marriott and Legal's take turns (with a few others) taking the top prize for Best Clam Chowder.
If you happen to go shopping at the Copley Mall (adjacent to the Marriott) you might want to consider having lunch at one of these two restaurants.
Fanuiel Hall Market Place
For a taste of just about everything under the sun, you've got to try the Fanuiel Hall Market Place. Be warned though, it's a very touristy area and that means pricey.
Local Restaurants
Within a short distance of the hotel, there is a TGIFridays, an IHOP, and a great place for brick oven pizza called Bertucci's. You can also ask the front desk for other recommendations.
