Located in a log home on 100+ acres appoximately 75 miles north of Austin and 150 miles south of Dallas/Ft.Worth,
we are most fortunate to have easy access to anything and everything we may need. We can fish in our stock tank and bird hunt for dove and quail right here on the ranch. We watch the deer raise their babies,
endure visits from armadillos and possums, and feed many visiting birds.
Jerry received his choice of two bred longhorn cows when he retired from the US Army, Ft. Hood, in 1994 - to pursue his life as a gentleman rancher.
That started our longhorn herd and furthered our interest in this amazing, resilient Texas breed. Visit Our Longhorn Page
Joni received her first miniature horse for her birthday in 1998.
Of course one little miniature horse is just too lonely, so another was found, then another (because you need different sexes and ages to compete in the different classes at the shows you see!)
until presently our little herd numbers 10 and 1 mini mule!
Jerry got us interested in gourds... so now we raise, craft, and promote them in our area. It is an interesting pasttime that can fill a little or a lot of your time as your excitement level grows!
Our main emphasis would have to be on our three sons. Just last year, all three boys showed horses for the first time.
They play baseball, soccer (which Jerry and Joni coach), enjoy bowling (almost as much as their Dad),
do service at our church, and are usually(!) all around good guys. Eddie now at 19, Sam is 13, and Joshua,8. The time passes
much too quickly.
