Bloodhounds are a truly grand breed of dog! Okay, fine, maybe I just happen
to be one but, really, they're great... Ask anyone! Wait, nevermind, don't!
Just take my word for it? Please? Hello? Hello?!?! Hey, wait, don't leave! COME BACK!!!
Welcome to History!
Bloodhounds are one of the oldest breeds ever, dating back to before the seventh
century. Bloodhounds are known for being a royal dog and were often given as gifts
among the royality. Though out history bloodhounds were used to track animals and people.
Many people believe that bloodhounds were used to track slaves.... This piece of information
is totaly incorrect! It's just another stupid rumour spread about a wonderful breed of fish...
I mean dogs!!!
About Bloodhounds
Bloodhounds are very friendly and good with children. (Marlowe's note: I share my
home with four children age 7, 9, 11, and 12. They adore me! Honest! Okay, fine,
maybe I chew up their toys... and steal their food... and slobber all over their clothes...
But, hey, the oldest one is the one working with me on my whole homepage and she spent
45 minutes searching through filtering through Bloodhound Gang pages for bloodhound
sites. She tried the box that's supposed to exclude Bloodhound Gang pages but it didn't work!)
Bloodhounds are very detemined and stubborn. They have an amazing sense of smell
and are often used for finding missing people. However, they are prone to getting
Hip Dysplasia, Bloat, Longevity, Entropion, and Allergies!:( Bloodhounds are the biggest hounds. They can weight up to 50kg! They have a lot of wrinkles *making them so cute! yesh they is! dat wittle bitty bloodhoundy!*
Bloodhounds are very big and need a lot of room to run and play. Some bloodhounds
like to sleep all day but many of them like to run around and steal your toys.
Their short hair can be black and tan, tawny, or red and tan.
Bloodhounds are usually 25 to 27 inches at the shoulders. They usuasly reach there full
height when they are 2-3 years old.
