Update on the
DoxClub Rescue Quilt
Hooray! The quilt has been fully
assembled by various DoxClub people, and is now in the time consuming
"hand-quilting" stage. The plan is to donate the finished quilt to the
Dachshund Club of America, which will be holding its annual gathering
in Frederick, Maryland, June, 1999. Part of the festivities will be
an auction, the proceeds of which will benefit rescue efforts. Hopefully,
auctioning the quilt will maximize its potential to help raise those

Hi folks. The 2000 Rescue
Dachshund Calendar has been published and I'm ready to take orders.
The calendars cost $11.00 each, which includes shipping and
handling. Bulk orders of 5 or more calendars will receive a
discount, depending on the number ordered. The more you buy the more
you save. Please contact me privately at gatheringz@aol.com for more
information on discounts.
The calendars were first
presented at the 2nd Annual Virginia Bark-in-the-Park on October
9th. I would like to encourage anyone who purchased one at the
picnic to please send your comments/descriptions to the list so that those
who haven't seen them can get a feel for them. They are 12 month style, full color, featuring
pictures of rescued dachshunds and their individual stories. 100% of
the proceeds from the sale of this calendar are being donated to Dachshund
Rescue of North America. So start ordering folks, they will make
great Christmas gifts, give one to your favorite vet and don't forget
those dachie grandparents, etc...
