Aussie Feedback

Chevreherd loves to get feedback from those who nurture our puppies.  Here are a few kind words from some owners. Thank you for taking the time to write and send photos.

Some photos have been enlarged. Others will be soon also.

was placed for me by Kelly Orberson with an older couple after the wife had a stroke. She was considered a really smart puppy and became a wonderful companion. They said her ears helped Kay stay alert for the wife's every need. Kay was from a litter  by Chevreherd BlueSinger "Blue" is out of Shelia.   "She is a great dog.  I love her to death.  Hope is not great at any one thing in particular, just great overall.  She has successfully raised many puppies for me (none hers of course [Hope is spayed and has been competing successfully in ASCA's altered conformation program]).  And she thinks that her full time job is to keep our Papillion from jumping on the gate!  Hope has been used in junior and peewee showmanship classes, agility, therapy and 4-H [I believe Hope and Shelley got first place at Washington state 4-H in 1996--Chevreherd]." web site

News from fall 2001 Gayla/Rocky litter:  Buffalo Gal  "Buffy"

Chevreherd Madeline

"We named our puppy Buffalo Gal, Buffy for short.  She is doing wonderful.  Everyone just loves her!  It took her about 10 minutes to adjust to her new home which is quite amazing. Buffy has already learned 'come' and 'sit'.  We're now working on leash training and 'stay'. We can already see her herding instincts at work.  She knows how to out-smart my youngest son, Ty, who is 11."  (Buffy is the red tri on the far left in the photo)   "is a wonderful dog, we adore her. Her mother was Pearl, she's a treasured part of our family."

Gloria's pups so far have had :
ASCA: Best Puppy & Best of Opposite Sex Puppy
AKC: Best of Opposite Sex Puppy
UKC: Best Puppy & Best Reserve Puppy
They just turned 6 months. The red merle male that Bruce and I co-own will start showing in the regular classes in all three registries. Beaner, our black tri male, and the red merle female have some growing up to do, so we'll wait on them. Hope you had a good holiday.   Accomplishments

Chevreherd TsaTsa

Accomplishments

is now Finnish Champion and to the second class in agility [this note from 1999].  She is very smart girl.  She had a bit bad habit.  She used to bark at our pyrs to control them and we yelled QUIET!  So she learned how to bark quiet.  Have you heard of something like that before?  The louder she barks the smaller is the sound.  She is happy and we are happy.  Another thing is agility.  She totally lost her speed.  It looked like walking and she jumped from almost standing.  Now there's a little motivation brake with that!  But her last straight is fantastic, like a different dog.  She knows that it's going to end soon and she will be rewarded.  Maybe she is counting those barriers.  I think that the next thing with TsaTsa is obedience.  She knows everything but we have to train properly before competing." Hi Melanie!

I like very much your new web sites!!!! It is so nice to see and read about many aussies related to Tsatsa!!! You know, in these past few months "people" has been talking a lot of the characters of aussies here. And I didn't understand why because Tsatsa is so great personality and fearless in every ways and also all her litter has done very well in their own areas. Some of them are just the most loyal companions to their owners but one is top obedience dog, very promising at search. One was in aussie summer camp the most promising in herding (has also carried a rabbits to her owner). One is top agility dog. He is here now. You know the poor dog was almost untrained "madcap", and then we decided (but with the owners agreement) to take him here. And this was in September 2000. In November they had their first competitions and now next summer they try (will) finish their agi Ch:s. And this dog would have potential to anything at all. Also his sister which had a litter last summer for us is great in agility and has been used as a "hunt-dog". While her owner is waiting in the bushes, Celeste will chase the hares in front of him, and he will shoot... (poor animals...)

Anyway, we are very content to that character Tsatsa gave to "us". Although sometimes it feels that she is too clever. I must say that she is a natural mother. Many times I call her "Our Mother". She is very protective for all our family. If someone raises a hand or something for ex. towards our children, she will "snap" (not bite) or show the teeth. But otherwise she is very nice to guests and open for strangers.

The Best Greetings to all your family and Success for the year "2002"!!!!

cloe.jpg (41829 bytes)This is ... and our family got a red tri pup from you. She was born in October 2001 to Lassie. We are now looking for a blue merle (we would love one with blue eyes) either male or female. If you have any upcoming litters due at that time we are definitely interested. Chloe is doing great. She is a beautiful dog with a wonderful personality. I'm sending a picture that was taken last fall.

Thanks

Snyder's Boss Dogg was my first aussie who traveled all over with me. He was such a great companion for the invalid mother of some dear friends that they asked to have a puppy from my first litter. This pup was Chevreherd's Sydney.

Other interesting feedback has included pups opening drawers in the kitchen, and housetraining themselves with never a mess in the new home.  Simply proving that aussies are the smartest canines on earth.
