Cheri and Mark have three cats at the moment; Canoe Cat, Cow Cat, and Spice (or Stretch).  Sound like strange names?  Well, Mark found Canoe Cat under a canoe near his house, and he took pity on her and gave her a little cat food that they had for their other cat they had at the time, Bart.  (He ran away from home before I could get a picture.  He was a pure white cat, a bit of a wanderer, so it's not surprising that he just upped and disappeared one day.)  Eventually, she kind of moved into their yard, and so they called her Canoe Cat.  She is a stocky little siamese-colored cat, with a tan nose and white front paws.  And just when she started to really settle in, she had two kittens!  This was of course quite a shock, but since there was only two of them they stayed at Cheri and Mark's house with their mother.  One was another siamese-colored cat, minus the tan nose and  white paws, and the other was white with black patches like a dairy cow.  So, the siamese was named Spice, and the spotted cat was named Cow Cat!   Now they are all grown up, and all have the same short, stocky build.  Canoe Cat is around 10 years old now, and her voice cracks a lot more than it used to in her earlier years.  But she still loves her catnip!  Cow Cat is the talker; one of few cats who you can seriously talk to for ages, and she will meow in reply to almost anything.  Spice is more solitary than the other cats, but she can frequently be found in the "cat room" curled up in a box with Canoe Cat!
