Construction Log - Aug 13th to Aug 19th

It was a busy week at our homesite. On Monday, we met with our HVAC contractor to talk about duct placement and more importantly, our idea to have a four zone heating and cooling system. After talking it over with him, we decided to just install an upgraded furnace with a variable speed fan and a couple extra ducts in trouble spots to achieve what we wanted to do with the zone system. Tuesday, most of our ductwork was installed and our new furnace was in place. The HVAC contractor was done with his rough-in by the end of the week. Other rough in work progressed as well, The plumbers started mid-week and were almost fininshed with their rough-in by Friday. Installing the new polymer lines goes a lot faster than copper did. As part of the process, they uncrated our shower basin and we met with them to let them know where to put in the side jets and controls. AmericanTV was in to rough-in the central vac and our electricians began late in the week as well. As a result of all this work, we have been forced to move around the rooms like we will have to when we've moved in instead of taking shortcuts through the framed in walls. Once the other contractors are finished, AmericanTV will be back to rough-in the speaker wires and our voice, data, and video outlets. Then we will be ready for insulation and drywall and the inside will make a dramatic change.
