Construction Log - July 30 to Aug 12

Week of July 30th -There aren't too many new pictures these two weeks. With the framers done, not much is changing outwardly. The roofer began shingling the middle of last week and should finish shingling by the end of this week. Last week, we met with our electrician and our installation specialist from AmericanTV. Once the electrical rough in is done, American will rough in the speakers, video and central vac. The elctricians expect to start their work yet this week. The plumbers are also getting ready to begin their rough in. This week we had a thunderstorm come through and dump 4 inches of rain on the lot, so again, the lot was too wet to do anymore clearing. Week of Aug 6th - The roofer has all but finished. The only part yet to be done is the roof over the four seasons room. The skylights in that room were not installed in the right place, and the framers had to come back to move them. Luckily, we spotted the problem before the roofer did anything on that part of the house, so it was a reletively easy fix. In the basement, the plumbers rouged-in  everything in the basement floor. On Thursday, they laid gravel in the basement, garage and stoop in preparation for pouring concrete in those spaces. Friday, they poured concrete in those areas.
