Welcome in our site that shed some lights on the various aspects covering our department. Department of Mechanical Production Technology is one of the major departments in College of Technological Studies (CTS). The existence of both the qualified human resources and instrumentation has put our department among the best similar academic institutions. Among department facilities are: the CNC lab, the material Lab, the metrology lab, in addition to the conventional machine shop.

Department has two main academic sections: Production, and Welding. The former is dealing with production aspects such as: manufacturing process, both conventional and modern, material science, maintenance, and industrial engineering. The later, welding, covers all welding instrumentation and techniques.

In addition to teaching courses leading to Technological Diploma, Department arranges and involves in many public short courses for those already in service. This includes: CAD/CAM, maintenance, basic engineering, etc.... Also, one of our jobs is the teaching of some obligatory courses for all departments such as engineering drawing and workshop technology.
